Summer wreath

This morning I finished a Summer wreath for the front door.

I am pleased with how it turned out... fresh and light, I think, and jaunty, too! Rather like this beautiful Midsummer day.

To trim the wreath I used new ribbons and old millinery, including some of my favorites: organdy daisies with velvet centers, ceramic strawberries, velvet and satin leaves, and spun-cotton mushrooms. I get giddy among fine old millinery! And red and white polka-dot mushrooms are something I find most delightful.

A happy Midsummer to you!
